Design of Signalized Intersection for Visually Challenged

About the Project

The project fundamentally aims to cater visually challenged to tackle their difficulties in using the roads in an urban area especiallyintersections.Project will target the specific user-enabled design aspects for the redressal of problems faced by visuallychallenged than the regular user based designs. Along with the design innovations on crossing facilities, different tech-based systems like, sensors, smart apps, traffic signal controller, etc. will be enabled to make the crossing easy and safe. The sensor systems selected is based on the factors such as; technology, processing capabilities, type and amount of information provided by the system, human-computer interface, user centric system design approach and matching technology to individual’s needs.
