About the Project

wEConserve, is the first smart phone application used as a diagnostic tool for innovation in the field of Historic Building Pathology. A diagnostic tool that enables the habitants to take well informed about the conservation and restoration of heritage structures in Shahjahanabad. The application, through a medium of artificial intelligence and feature recognition, would help in determining the conditions of traditional buildings and building defects on a smart phone without any specialized equipment. The invention aims at a wider scope of conservation and restoration of heritage structures in India taking its first prototype in Shahjahanabad. The smart phone based application focuses on providing safety in habitability, convenient and economical conservation solutions in heritage areas.

wEConserve acts as a platform to bring residential owners in contact with local government bodies, conservation professionals, artisans involved in restoration and heritage material markets. The invention provides innovative materials and specifications for simplified, economical and efficient conservation methods.
